#73 - Vacation/Vocation - Faith, Generation Z and climate action w/ Grace Vegesana
We are rejoicing in the news that Grace Vegesana (she/they), a beloved member of our LUC community, has recently been appointed the National Director of the Australian Youth Climate Coalition (AYCC). Rev. Radhika Sukumar-White (she/her) interviewed Grace in January 2024, when she was working as Climate and Racial Justice Director for AYCC, as part of our summer church series, Vacation/Vocation.
In this chat, Grace shares about the intersection between faith, culture and justice work, how young people continue to make a positive impact in society and how churches should be responding to the climate emergency. There's also a beautiful story of how Grace met their partner, Mick, a fellow advocate for climate justice and valued LUC member.
