This week on AI For Humans we dive into ChatGPT's Custom Instructions, get semi-gaslit by Pi AI, conjure up a bunch of Future AI news using GPT-4 and, finally, have our first real live human interview with Coqui.AI's Josh Meyer! Kevin Pereira and Gavin Purcell are your hosts for this episode and all the other ones you may or may not have heard. What are ChatGPT's Custom Instructions? Custom Instructions are a very cool way to use ChatGPT so that you can always prime it in a specific way and you don't always have to tell it a bunch of stuff before you get the results you want. We, of course, used it give us a nice, random track from Brazilan Funk of the 1970s. What is Pi AI? We've featured Pi before - it's a voice-to-voice AI app that is remarkable in how good it is at carrying on a conversation and additionaly, somehow, has very good up-to-date information that none of the other LLMs have. It also seems to have a not-so-great filter on what it should and shouldn't say. What is Coqui.ai? Coqui.AI is a very cool start-up that's specializing in text-to-voice prompting and has a custom model that allows for companies (specifically video game companies) to create a large library of digital voices for their characters. A new model follow up to the text-to-image model Stable Diffusion that allows users to get much greater clarity of images but also has a few drawbacks so far. It is cool that you can now go into the Stable Diffusion disord and generate your images tho. Gavin used its vast intelligence to create Sponge Bob versions of Guy Feiri What is Chat GPT's Code Interpreter? A new (at least now open to everyone) mode of ChatGPT that essentially allows the chatbot to execute programs within itself to do things like crunch data and make GIFs for users. It's remarkably impressive technology & Kevin found a way to get it to create stick figure gifs & analyze Taylor Swife lyrics. What is Pi? Pi is a new chat bot that can be used in text for both on web and in an app but it truly shines in the voice-to-voice connection available in the iPhone app. The speed at which it responds is remarkable and it seems to have semi-up-to-date information at it's fingertips. It does less well when asked specific questions by our AI co-host Gash about possibly taking his place on the show. That's it for this week. Whoo boy, do we have a whopper of a show today. In our demo, we use AI to clone Chef Gordon Ramsay & have him help us figure out the Grimace Shake meme and how he might prepare the "purple blob" for eating. It's an adventure in using ChatGPT to create an interactive character who's just a little off and trust us, it's funny. (Starts at 45:10) Gavin's dumb thing of the week is making Buff Presidents after RFK, Jr's coming out party as a swole candidate, Kevin goes deep on DragGan which lets you stretch photos any which way you want as well as free text-to-video from Zeroscope. In the news this week: -- ChatGPT getting dethroned? Google (specifically Deep Mind) says it can take them down with it's new upcoming chatbot. -- Deep Mind also released info on a Robocat, an AI algorithm that can help robots improve themselves without supervision (what?) and then a CMU professor releases VRB (Vision Robotics Bridge) which allows robots to hold a knife (oh no). This leads to another AI will kill us all discussion. -- Marvel releases a new series on Disney+ with AI credits and *everyone* freaks out even though no human jobs were impacted. ***NEW SEGMENT*** We spin the Wheel of Jobs which lands on "landscaping and gardening" and discuss how these jobs will be impacted in the near and far futures.
