Legacy Dads with Dave and Dante

We have goals in 2022, and we want you to join in! In this episode, Dave and Dante discuss the books that are planned for the year. From raising children, to leading families, to becoming a better Christian, these books will help all of us become the men, husbands, and fathers that God has called us to be. Continuing the "God in Action" series, we hear the story of Brandon from Camp Royal. After the loss of his Dad while he was a young boy, Brandon spent a lot of time trying to find his identity. It wasn't until God reminded him (multiple times, really) to trust his real Father that Brandon found his identity in Christ. Listen to this inspiring story of how God worked, and continues to work, in his life! As Christians, we are told to expect suffering. But what does that look like? In this episode, Dave and Dante discuss scripture and how it not only tells us to expect suffering, but ways in which we can persevere through it...with the ultimate goal of giving God the glory that He deserves. If you're struggling now (whether through circumstances or choices), we pray this episode opens your eyes to the light in the darkness. "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness shall not overcome it." (John 1:5).

"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus" (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). These words from Paul to the church in Thessalonica are the framework Dave and Dante use to discuss what Thanksgiving should look like for a Christian and Legacy Dad. A proper focus of gratefulness is aligned towards God - for He is good, and His love endures forever, and His faithfulness continues through all generations (adapted from Psalm 100).
