My EdTech Life

Kevin has been an educator or serving educators for over 38 years.  Kevin's undergraduate degree is from the University of Massachusetts/Amherst where he majored in Multicultural Education.  His Master's Degree in Education Administration is from the University of Massachusetts/Lowell. Lois Alston is an Instructional Technology Coach for the Long Branch School District in Long Branch, NJ. She completed her 5th year in this role and she has been in education for 20 years. She is passionate about implementing a variety of EdTech platforms to improve/enhance her colleague's instruction and add value to their students' learning. As a lifelong learner, she’s always looking for ways to keep students engaged with the material at hand to help prepare them for the future.  Lois has two school-aged children who keep her very busy. Zach Rondot is a passionate fourth-grade teacher in Troy, Michigan. His mission is to teach students the 21st-century skills, mindsets, and attributes that will help them succeed long after they leave his classroom.  In 2019, Zach was named the Troy School District Elementary Teacher of the Year and the Oakland County Elementary Teacher of the Year.  Zach is an instructor in the Master’s program of Learning, Design, and Technology at Central Michigan University. He utilizes technology to create learning opportunities that otherwise would not be possible.   Grayson McKinney is a fifth-grade teacher from Michigan and a leader in the area of innovative teaching and learning. He has worked with learners at all levels of school from K-6 as a teacher, technology facilitator, and program administrator. Roxi Thompson currently serves as an EdTech Coach for the Washington Elementary School District in Glendale, Arizona. In this role, she focuses on working 1:1 with teachers to drive impactful technology use. Roxi spent the majority of her time this year supporting teachers in the district’s first “Distance Learning Program” for families who chose a full-time online learning environment for their students. Prior to this, she spent eight years teaching social studies at the elementary and middle school levels. Amber Trout, M.Ed. has been in education for the past 11 years as a teacher, coach, and administrator.
