101: This is Tsvetelina Deliyska

A real pleasure to talk to the fab Tsvetelina Deliyska for episode 101 of the Podcast this week! Based in Bulgaria, Tsveti has won 4 Reportage Awards from us, and 2 Story Awards, and was ranked in our Top 100 Photographers Worldwide for 2020. She talks about lots of different things in the episode, including: *shooting a wedding where both the bride and groom were blind, *how she captured one of her specific Reportage Awards, *live chickens at weddings, *the experience of seeing her work exhibited, *our Netflix synopsis game, *shooting her first weddings on film when she was only 19, *and much more... Just a couple of things to mention before we hear from Tsveti: Thanks so much to everyone who has listened to our 100th Podcast episode that we released last week; I've had so many lovely messages and comments about it; I'm so glad people enjoyed our special 'montage' episode, I really enjoyed putting it together and listening to all those voices again! I do apologise that I couldn't include a clip from every single photographer that I've been lucky enough to interview - I really would have needed to put out a 10+ hour episode if I included everyone. As part of that 100th special episode, we were running a giveaway, with a chance to win 1 of 10 This is Reportage or This is Reportage: Family memberships - and the deadline for that giveaway is 23:59 GMT *today* (which is 20th January 2022, in case you're listening in the future...). So if you want to be in with a chance to win 1 of 10 memberships - worth £100 each - then do make sure you listen to that episode and get entering today. Secondly, just a mention that it's a whole new awards year on both This is Reportage and This is Reportage: Family, so if you are interested in maybe making our Top 100 and Top Storyteller lists for 2022, you have the best chance if you submit to our first Collection of the year. Members receive 60 individual award entries and 18 story award entries per year, all included in your membership fee (as well as many more benefits). The deadline to submit is just a few days away now: Submit by 23:59 GMT on 24th January 2022. Finally, just a note that this interview was actually recorded a couple of months ago, so please excuse us if there are any time-related things in our discussion - such as the weather! - that maybe a little out of date now... Head to https://thisisreportage.com/podcast-episode-101-this-is-tsvetelina-deliyska/ to see the specific Reportage Award that she spoke about, a link to her website, and to the exhibition she discussed on the episode too. 100: This is the 100th Special

It's our 100th Podcast episode! To celebrate we're giving away 10 This is Reportage or This is Reportage: Family Memberships - worth £100 each! We've reached our 100th episode! Can you believe it? It feels very surreal to me; it honestly only feels like a couple of months ago that it all began. We launched on November 7th 2019, and in just over two years I'm so happy to say we've reached this pretty special milestone. We've had over 76,000 listens so far, which means that each episode gets listened to over 760 times on average... amazing! I'm so thrilled that the photographers I talk to each week get to share their stories, tips and advice with so many people all over the world. Thank you so much for listening! As this is a special milestone, I thought I'd do a bit of a different episode, and I thought it would be nice to do a kind of 'montage' episode, where I'm featuring clips from past episodes. Now, this is in no way a 'best of' episode, as there has been far too much great content shared over our all the episodes so far - it would need a 10-hour episode to do one of those - but it is just a selection of some clips that stood out to me, or made me smile, or clips that gave a good sense of what the Podcast is about. It would have been impossible for me to feature every single photographer that I've interviewed so far (see above about needing a 10+ hour episode for that!) but you will hear from over 30 of my guests, including Valter Antunes, Sanne De Block, Rowena Meadows, Adam Johnson, Tyler Wirken, Rocio Vega, Yves Schepers, Gretchen Yost, Pedro Vilela, Lisa Hu Chen, David Scholes, Julia Rose-Greim, Franck Boutonnet, Dominique and Liam Shaw, Katrin Küllenberg, Ross Harvey, Menino Conhece Menina, Sam Docker, and many more... If you're a regular listener, hopefully you'll enjoy re-visiting some things you've heard before, or perhaps it'll point you to some episodes that you may have missed - and if you're brand-new to the Podcast, I hope this episode gives a good taster of what you've got in store if you want to delve into our back catalogue of episodes. ***We're also celebrating this milestone with a contest, where you can win 1 of 10 This is Reportage or This is Reportage: Family memberships - worth £100 each.*** Visit https://thisisreportage.com/podcast-episode-100-this-is-the-100th-special/ to see how to enter. If you're not yet a member of This is Reportage or This is Reportage: Family, check out all the benefits of joining us, including an unlimited number of images on your profile, 60 individual Award & 18 Story Award entries per year, invites to our physical meetups and parties, exclusive discounts, hours of educational videos featuring tips and advice from some of the world's best photographers and much more. Before we get on to Joosje, I just want to mention a couple of things: Firstly, it's a whole new awards year on This is Reportage and This is Reportage: Family, so if you are interested in maybe making our Top 100 and Top Storyteller lists for 2022, you have the best chance if you submit to our first Collection of the year. 98: This is Alpár Lukácsi

It was such a pleasure to chat to the fab Alpár Lukácsi for episode 98 of the Podcast! Alpár has been in our Top 10 Romanian Photographers for the past two years in a row, and has won six Reportage Awards from us. He talks about one of those specific Awards on the episode today, as well as lots of other things, including: *how you should never be satisfied, *shooting his first weddings in his early twenties, *the importance of empathy, *having a positive mindset, *why his Grandfather is such a huge inspiration for him, *destination weddings, *and much more... Before we get on to Alpár, I just wanted to wish you all a fantastic Christmas; I hope you have a super holiday season, and here's to 2022 being better than this year (and the last...!). Thank you so much for tuning in to the Podcast this year - I feel so grateful to you all for listening in; it's so great that the photographers I chat to each week are being listened to by hundreds of people all over the world - so, thank you. Thanks also to the people who share things about the Podcast on their socials, Insta Stories... to the people who have very kindly messaged or emailed me to say how they're enjoying the podcast, and to those who have left reviews; it's all super appreciated; thank you. To This is Reportage and This is Reportage: Family members, I just want to say how it's been amazing - as ever - to see all your brilliant work this year - you are all so talented, and I know this year hasn't been the easiest; thank you for sharing your work, opening yourselves up to our live critique sessions, submitting to our awards, coming over to our party in London, and just being the fab community of lovely people that you all are. I'll be taking a little break from the Podcast over the holidays, but we'll be back early in the New Year, and we'll be doing something a little special for our 100th episode, which is just a couple of episodes away now. Honestly, I can't quite believe that we're almost at that milestone already; it honestly only feels like a couple of months ago that I released the first few episodes, without any hope or expectation about how they would be received - or even if they'd be listened to at all! - so I can't quite believe we're nearly at 100 already...! Lastly, just a mention that this episode was recorded towards the end of October, so please excuse us if any time-sensitive talk is a little out of date... Head to https://thisisreportage.com/podcast-episode-98-this-is-alpar-lukacsi/ for a link to Alpár's website, and to see the specific Reportage Award he talks about on the episode too.
