Fr. Riccardo asks the congregation to make a commitment to pray the rosary daily, and to ask the Blessed Virgin Mary, our Patroness, to intercede on our behalf for our families and for married couples.

Fr. Riccardo discusses the Sacrament of Matrimony in this homily for the Feast of the Holy Family.

In this homily for Christmas, Fr. Riccardo reminds the congregation that Jesus came to wage war for us and considers the great gift that God has given us in Christ, the gift of Himself. The scripture readings for this day are: Is 9:1-6, Ti 2:11-14, Lk 2:1-14.

While considering the scripture readings of the day (Is 7:10-14, Rom 1:1-7, Mt 1:18-24), Fr. Riccardo asks the congregation, "Do we belong to Jesus Christ, or do we just happen to be Christian?"

Fr. Riccardo encourages the congregation to go to school at the feet of Mary, our Mother, so that they may learn how to trust. While reflecting on the gospel reading from St. Matthew (Mt 11:2-11), Fr. John reminds us that for every situation in life, God gives grace which is sufficient.

On November 27th, a Mass was held to commemorate the 90th anniversary of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish. His Excellency Allen Vigneron, Archbishop of Detroit, presided at the Mass and delivered this homily.

While reflecting on the readings (Is 2:1-5, Rom 13:11-14, Mt 24:37-44) for this first Sunday of Advent, Fr. Riccardo discusses proper behavior of communicants after receiving the Eucharist at Mass.

Fr. Riccardo reflects on his visit to Wawel Castle during his recent pilgrimage to Poland and on the gospel reading from St. Luke (Lk 23:35-43) in this homily from Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. Fr. John encourages the congregation to beg for the grace to hear God's voice and to listen.

While discussing the gospel reading from Luke (Lk 21:5-19), Fr. Riccardo tells the congregation that, "The church desparately needs joyful, educated Christians, who deeply love Jesus, who are willing and able to give an explanation for the faith and the hope that they have."
