It’s too early to regulate AI
Now is the time for self-regulation to avoid government intervention. AI tools can be used to create massive harm at an unprecedented pace. The compound effect of technology evolution every 24-48 hours is hard for most people to comprehend. Creating a new regulatory body for AI would slow down development and hinder innovation. There is currently no agreed-upon standard for AI approval. Regulation would replace permissionless innovation with a highly political process.
