The Role of Faith as a Response to God's Revelation

Faith is not simply a positive emotion or hopeful optimism, but a response to what God has revealed. Without knowing God's revelation, there can be no faith. God primarily reveals Himself through His Word and secondarily through His Spirit. Through these, we understand what mountains God wants to move, and we ask Him to move them. It is important to seek God's will through the Bible and the Spirit, and pray according to His revealed purposes. Scripture is not a textbook of facts, but a book of promises for us to believe and live with the power of God. If prayers go unanswered, it is necessary to examine whether they are grounded in God's revealed purposes and if we are truly listening to God as we pray, as the prayers that are heard are the ones that align with heaven.
