How to Build a Devoted Team with Basic Benefits and Unique Opportunities
General and undifferentiated pitches do not say anything about why a recruit should join your company instead of many others. The only good answers are specific to your company. Pick somebody obsessed with working for your specific company because they believe in the mission. Do not fight the perk war, just cover the basics like health insurance and then promise something unique. The opportunity to do irreplaceable work on a unique problem alongside great people. Aim for a tribe of like-minded people fiercely devoted to the company's success.
