Predicting Questions and Mentors as Imaginary Conversationalists

When asking mentors for help, it is important to write a good description of the situation and summarize it concisely. The summary should include the context, problem, options, and thoughts. Before sending it to the mentor, try to predict what they would say and address those points in advance. This saves time and shows preparedness. By including the predicted questions and answers in the initial summary, the answer to the problem becomes clear, eliminating the need to bother the mentor further. Finding a mentor is not about external searching, but about internalizing their teachings and thinking from their perspective. By being familiar with their work, it is possible to predict what they would say and solve problems independently.
