Conjoined Twins
Conjoined twins historically have chosen to remain together, even though it defies societal norms. They believe that having constant companionship is superior to the loneliness experienced by separate individuals. Conjoined twins view the discrimination they face as a societal problem, not a personal one. Surgeries to separate conjoined twins are not always beneficial, often leaving individuals with severe physical and functional impairments. Many surgeons are now questioning the ethical implications of separating conjoined twins and whether it truly benefits the individuals involved.
