Learn to Be a Good Leader

Starting a business is really hard and can lead to enormous mistakes. There are three kinds of mistakes that determine success and failure: hiring average but good people, hiring people who were not candid about themselves, and hiring morally compromised but highly performant people. Managing these situations well is crucial for the success of a company. Investing is like peeling back layers to reveal the secret, and perseverance is key. Keeping mediocre performers who are good human beings can create a positive culture, but it's important to also have superstars who shine and inspire others. Managing the three different types of employees is the real challenge, and demoting, promoting, and firing may be necessary. It is crucial to have a composition of a team that keeps the superstars close to enough of the organization to continue adding value. The other two groups of people should be fired because they inject poison into the company and can lead to its demise.
