Should I Focus on One Thing at a Time?

When pursuing a new venture or project, it is best to focus on one thing at a time. Research shows that by taking this approach, individuals can give themselves the time to learn and engage with that one thing, and get it to a point that is good enough before moving on to the next most important thing. This methodology is similar to how a great chef prepares a meal, by rotating pots from the front burner to the back burner. By breaking down big goals into smaller monthly, weekly, and daily goals, they become more achievable and less daunting. Furthermore, starting a project or goal is often the hardest part, but embracing uncertainty and taking small steps is key to taking action and making progress.
