By reframing our language to say 'this is how I currently understand the issue' instead of 'this is what I believe', we can disrupt the dynamics of identifying our beliefs with our identity. This allows us to see our beliefs as a work in progress and makes it easier for us to change our minds. The language reframe helps us move away from rigid categories and see the complexity and beauty in different perspectives. It enables us to embrace the gray areas and accept that certain beliefs may have adverse effects or may not hold true for everyone. By seeing ourselves as a work in progress, we can open ourselves up to new possibilities and have a greater willingness to change.
