Humans are the story telling species. We decide in our reality what is beautiful/sad/etc.

Humans are limited filters compared to other species. We perceive the world differently due to our limited senses. For example, the Mantis shrimp sees shades of red that we can't. Although they may not create music like humans do, it's possible that they have their own form of art. There is an interesting experiment where electrical signals from cacti are converted into beautiful music. Our perception and judgment are subjective. We decide what is beautiful and meaningful to us, like whale song or cactus. However, our judgments are based on our limited understanding, and it doesn't mean we truly understand the essence of these things.
