*Why We Need To Resacralize Our Values *
The world we live in now is what the left hemisphere can tell us, but the right hemisphere provides a much richer and varied picture of the world. There are not just a few fixes or things to practice, but rather a complete shift in consciousness is needed. We need to be aware of all that the right hemisphere can see that the left hemisphere rules out. This means holding the tension between opposing ideas instead of resolving it. We should prioritize values, purpose, and a sense of the sacred in our thinking about time, space, matter, and consciousness. The loss of these values leads to anxiety, fear, and a loss of meaning and cohesion, which can drive people towards totalitarian solutions. So, we need to regain a sense of our values and re-sacralize them. This involves examining what we value and recognizing values as central to our reality. This includes values such as beauty, truth, goodness, courage, magnanimity, generosity, and fidelity. These values are part of what makes life worth living.
