Perceptual Exercise to Help Switching Tasks
A perceptual exercise can improve the ability to task switch by influencing the way the brain parses time. By focusing visual attention on different locations, one can experience different perceptions of time. The exercise involves closing the eyes and focusing on bodily sensations, then opening the eyes and focusing on a specific location on the body, gradually moving the focus to locations further away. By shifting visual focus and time perception, the exercise trains the brain to shift attention and process time differently.
