The key to achieving fast game development is having a team with extensive experience in game development and a strong understanding of scoping. The team members had individually spent 10 years each making dozens of games, which allowed them to learn how to scope effectively. Scoping involves defining the exact features and size of a game within the given time frame. As the deadline approached, they would cut away unnecessary elements to ensure timely delivery. Additionally, the team's focus was unparalleled as they were dedicated to their job of making games all day. With no internet or cell phones to distract them, they could work uninterrupted for at least 12 hours a day. This intense focus, combined with their years of experience and efficient scoping, enabled them to rapidly produce games.
