For example, doing the dishes while standing in the kitchen relieves the worry of having to interrupt work or deal with unpleasant odors later. Similarly, starting to move in the morning without sitting down for 15 minutes can help us feel more awake and motivated. By harnessing inertia, we can eliminate the need for constant motivation and make lasting improvements in our daily routines.
