The Upstream Benefits of Key Habits

Identify the habits that are upstream from other productive actions and focus on doing those consistently. For example, a workout habit can lead to benefits such as increased concentration, better eating habits, improved sleep, and higher energy levels. Similarly, visualization habits for performers and meditation habits for CEOs can have positive ripple effects on their performance and productivity. Instead of worrying about every small detail, focus on identifying the lead domino, the first action that sets the stage for other productive habits, and put energy into consistently doing that. The momentum from the lead domino will carry through to other areas of life.
