The Internalizer and the Externalizer: Understanding Different Personality Types
There are two distinct personality types: internalizers and externalizers. Internalizers have high perceptiveness and sensitivity, they are avid learners, process things deeply, and have nuanced feelings. They face challenges in dealing with emotionally immature individuals as they are highly affected by criticism and lack of attention. On the other hand, externalizers externalize experiences, blaming others for their reactions, and avoiding self-reflection. They struggle to take responsibility for their actions, resist feedback, and often attribute problems to external sources. The distinction lies in how they process and react to experiences, with internalizers being introspective and complex, while externalizers deflect responsibility and blame external factors for their behavior.
