Be that one person for one person

The speaker talks about how two couples changed their life by investing in them and changing the way they viewed themselves. Despite being the worst investment with a terrible track record, these two families put everything on the line for the speaker. This experience inspired the speaker to have the concept of being that one person for one person, as they themselves had begged for help as a child but received none. This concept carried over into college where the speaker initially pursued social work.
