A good Massive Transformative Purpose (MTP) is grounded in reality and resonates with people. It should be massive, transformative, and purpose-driven. It must address a problem that needs to be solved. Seeking outsized shareholder returns is no longer enough, as people are looking for a sense of purpose in life. A quick heuristic to determine a good MTP is to ask oneself what problem they would solve with a billion dollars and what problem would get them excited to work on every day for five years. The MTP should drive moonshots that are ten times bigger than the rest of the world. To succeed, the CEO, leadership team, and board must be willing to stand up and commit to the MTP and moonshots.

Many companies today are grappling with a few things: an economic downturn, potential layoffs and restructuring, and trying to keep up with the latest tech trends… all while still maintaining a growth trajectory.
