What is vulnerable to you is what you have been taught to be ashamed of. Vulnerability can differ for each person depending on what they were taught to be ashamed of. Recognizing when someone does something out of character and asks for support can be a crucial moment in a friendship. In these vulnerable moments, our brain tends to remember them more vividly and they have a greater impact on the friendship. However, it can be difficult to identify these vulnerable moments, so we should look for uncharacteristic behavior from our friends.
