Identifying and Overcoming Toxic Beliefs in Work and Life

Many people are unaware of their visual blind spot and do not spend time thinking about it. Common toxic beliefs include 'what will be will be,' 'life should be easy,' 'making money or being successful is essential,' and 'not taking a promotion is a black mark.' People often have an exaggerated perception of their organization's expectations and fear disagreeing with their boss. One way to identify toxic beliefs is to discuss them with a friend and get their perspective. It is easier to identify someone else's toxic belief than your own.
