Understanding Christ as the beginning in Proverbs and Genesis 1

The Hebrew word 'Reishiit' is used both in Genesis 1:1 and Proverbs 8:22, and it refers to the beginning. In Proverbs 8, wisdom personified speaks and claims to be the beginning of God's way. This wisdom is believed to be Christ himself, who is referred to as the wisdom from God in 1 Corinthians. Therefore, when we read Genesis 1:1 from this perspective, it can be understood that in the beginning, Christ is the one through whom God created the heavens and the earth. This understanding aligns with Paul's writings that state all things were made for Christ, through Christ, and by Christ. If we approach the scriptures with this understanding, we can better comprehend how God continues to interact with us through Christ as his creatures.
