The insufficient training of human content moderators is one challenge in content moderation. However, much of the content moderation is automated, and it depends on the information the system has. There is significant pressure from the Israeli state on social media platforms to make Palestinian content disappear or become less visible. The evidence of this is overwhelming. When questioned or challenged about this issue, companies like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok often claim ignorance. Facebook, for example, has been found complicit in the genocide in Myanmar and Ethiopia by amplifying genocidal posts.

Paris Marx is joined by Antony Loewenstein to discuss how the Israeli weapons industry tests new military technologies on occupied Palestinians before selling them internationally.
