There is an underlying cultural problem of a revival of Puritanism in different areas such as feminism, environmentalism, and sexual morals. The trend of purity and moral reform is disturbing to those who care about liberty. Many reform movements start with voluntary moral reform but often turn into coercive movements when they are not successful. It is suspicious when people claim they don't want government censorship but still advocate for moral reform, as it raises questions about their stance on censorship.
