Learning new subjects as an adult involves sticking to the basics and focusing on concepts related to one's interests. In the case of science, mathematics is the language of nature and the study of truth. It is the only true discipline as it makes falsifiable predictions and has practical applications. Technology, driven by applied science, allows us to have advancements like cell phones, houses, cars, and electricity. Thus, studying the laws of the universe becomes a devotional act, akin to spirituality.
Naval Ravikant is the CEO and co-founder of AngelList. He’s invested in more than 100 companies, including Uber, Twitter, Yammer, and many others.
