Breaking news: Emergence offers $50M term sheet for MosaicML before Databricks

The hottest space in venture land right now is AI infrastructure for enterprises. Mosaic ML has received a term sheet from Emergence to raise $50 million at a valuation of $400 million. The valuation is around 30 to 35 times ARR, implying about $10 million of ARR. The company has been growing rapidly, from one or two at the beginning of the year. It is understandable why someone would want to invest in this company. Prior to this deal, an investor had offered a $700 million valuation. Overall, while some perceive it as a crazy deal, it is still considered a great one.
