*Should Brands Do A Yearly Refresh Of Their Products? *

Samsung is losing market share to iPhones among young people in South Korea. Releasing minor updates allows Samsung to keep margins high and fulfill carrier expectations. However, frequent phone releases contribute to e-waste and environmental concerns. It would be better for consumers, carriers, manufacturers, and the planet to slow down the release cycle and be more environmentally responsible.
