It searches YouTube video subtitles for words or phrases and starts the video at the exact time they appear. Users can read along with the subtitles while watching the clip. By clicking on a specific word in the subtitles, a context menu appears with more information such as definitions and synonyms. YouGlish initially supported only English but now includes French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, German, Korean, Russian, and Chinese.
