How 18 Months of Marriage Changes Your Personality
A study on 169 heterosexual newlywed couples revealed that after 18 months of marriage, husbands became more conscientious while wives became less neurotic. However, husbands became less extroverted and both spouses became less agreeable. These changes were consistent across demographics and showed no variation based on age or prior relationship duration. The findings suggest that marriage brings about both positive and negative personality transformations in individuals.
