Look Beyond the Surface of Tokens and blockchain
Tokens on a blockchain are social technologies, much like money, and they function as multiplayer technologies that encapsulate ownership in a simple package. They are a way to simplify complex ideas on the internet and are the atomic unit of ownership in the blockchain world. There are fungible and non-fungible tokens, and critics should not dismiss tokens based on early embodiments, as software is an expressive and malleable medium. Just like the early internet had silly aspects, early tokens may also have had dumb implementations, but looking beyond the surface reveals the fundamental concept of tokens as a revolutionary idea maze for ownership and creativity.
