The Importance of Optimism in Making Good Complicated Things

Optimism is important in making good complicated things because it enables us to envision and believe that something can be accomplished. Making good complicated things is difficult because there are typically more ways for them to fail than to succeed. It is unlikely to accidentally create something good that is complex, so we need to have the optimism to see the potential and believe in its realization. Throughout history, most of our advancements have been made by people who optimistically believed in the possibility of creating them. Optimism is like a work of imagination, where we can imagine a positive outcome, which is more challenging than imagining failure. It is easier to envision how things can break than to understand how they work.
