Advice for adventurous family vacations

Don't be dismayed if your kids don't appreciate a great adventure at the time, as they may not be able to process the experience fully until later. Traveling with kids can be very different from luxury trips where they are glued to their phones. A vacation combined with a disaster can turn into a memorable adventure. Trying new things and following your children's passions and interests can make for engaging vacations. For example, visiting Anne of Green Gables sites in Nova Scotia or exploring dinosaur digs and museums. The key is to create experiences that take children out of their comfort zones and teach them about overcoming challenges.
