Continually write out goals each day to remind yourself

Setting a visual reminder for your goals, like a post-it note, does not increase the probability of sticking to your goals. This is because our visual system adapts to regular stimuli in our environment, cancelling them out. Instead, a better approach is to continually write out your goals each day and place the reminder in a new location. Visual reminders can be effective, but they need to be updated daily to avoid being cancelled out by our visual system.
