The translation was adapted and edited by Catholic scholars, notably Bernard Orchard OSB and Reginald C. Fuller, under the auspices of the Catholic Biblical Association. The second edition was revised according to the norms of *Liturgiam authenticam* and approved by the relevant Catholic authorities.
