Unknown (Anonymous)

The Liber Pontificalis was compiled by an unknown author in the 5th or 6th century. Most scholars believe the beginning of the work up until the biographies of Pope Felix III (483–492) was written by a single author who was a contemporary of Pope Anastasius II (496-498), relying on earlier papal catalogues and records.
