Sally Benson

American writer of short stories, screenplays, and theatre, born Sara Smith in St. Louis, Missouri in 1897. Best known for her semi-autobiographical collections Junior Miss and Meet Me in St. Louis, published in 1942 by Random House. She died in 1972.
