Roger S. Fouts

Roger S. Fouts is a retired American primate researcher, co-founder and co-director of the Chimpanzee and Human Communication Institute, and a professor of psychology. He is best known for teaching Washoe the chimpanzee to communicate using American Sign Language and is an advocate for animal rights.
