Pope Leo I (Leo the Great)

Pope Leo I, also known as Leo the Great, was the Bishop of Rome from 440 to 461. He was a Roman aristocrat, a Doctor of the Church, and is best known for his theological contributions, particularly the Tome of Leo, and for persuading Attila the Hun to turn back from his invasion of Italy.
