P. J. E. Peebles

Phillip James Edwin Peebles is a Canadian-American astrophysicist, astronomer, and theoretical cosmologist. He was the Albert Einstein Professor of Science at Princeton University and is widely regarded for his major theoretical contributions to physical cosmology, including primordial nucleosynthesis, dark matter, the cosmic microwave background, and structure formation. Peebles was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2019 for his theoretical discoveries in physical cosmology.
