Misha Defonseca (Monique de Wael)

Misha Defonseca, born Monique de Wael, is a Belgian-born writer known for her fraudulent Holocaust memoir. She was born in 1937 and moved to the United States in the late 1980s. Her real parents were Roman Catholic members of the Belgian Resistance, and she did not experience the Holocaust as described in her book.
