Laurie Lee, born Laurence Edward Alan Lee, was an English poet, novelist, and screenwriter. He is best known for his autobiographical trilogy, which includes 'Cider with Rosie', 'As I Walked Out One Midsummer Morning', and 'A Moment of War'. Lee was born on June 26, 1914, in Stroud, Gloucestershire, England, and died on May 13, 1997, in Slad.
