
Kate Atkinson
Robert Coover (b. 1932) is an American postmodern writer known for his innovative, metafictional prose and darkly comic reworkings of myth, fable, and popular genres. Author of numerous novels, story collections, and plays, he first gained major recognition when his debut novel, "The Origin of the Brunists", won the William Faulkner Foundation First Novel Award in 1966, and his short fiction has appeared in leading magazines such as The New Yorker, Harper's, and Playboy.[1][5]
