

John Dryden
Plutarch was a Greco-Roman philosopher, historian, and Apollonian priest who lived in the 1st and 2nd centuries AD. He is best known for his biographical works, particularly 'Parallel Lives', and his philosophical essays known as 'Moralia'. Plutarch was a native of Chaeronea and held significant social and civic roles, including being a priest at the Oracle of Delphi.
