Retired U.S. Army Major General, born on August 3, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois. He is of Japanese descent and served over thirty years in the Army, including roles in Korea and Vietnam. Mukoyama is known for being one of the youngest Americans to command a U.S. Army division and is the first of Japanese descent to do so.
