Isabella Beeton

Isabella Mary Beeton, known as Mrs Beeton, was an English journalist, editor, and writer. Born in London on 14 March 1836, she was a Victorian wife, mother, and journalist who wrote one of the most famous cookery books ever published. She began writing for her husband's publications and became the editor of his magazine for two years. Her work significantly influenced Victorian middle-class domesticity.
