

Henry St. John, 1st Viscount Bolingbroke
Henry St. John, 1st Viscount Bolingbroke, was a prominent British politician and philosopher. Born on September 16, 1678, he was a key figure in the Tory party during Queen Anne's reign. He later became involved with the Jacobite cause and was exiled to France. During his exile, he developed his philosophical works, which were published posthumously in 1754.
